Does the G5 support DisplayPort Alt mode over USB-C? I own the G5 and it just doesn't seem to be working for me. I have a Dell monitor that I use as a laptop dock that supports DP Alt mode and other laptops work fine with data and video over USB-C. The G5 manages data (Ethernet and USB) but not video.
Hello, the function you need is only available in Type-C 4.0 version
The version of our G5 is Type-C 3.2
Ordinary Type-C video output can work, but the functions you need some threshold
@dylan dylan Thanks for replying. I'm a little confused though. i was told by email from your customer support - that the G5 DID support DP Alt Mode. I was sent some 'updated' drivers to try. I installed these, but to no effect.
Q. Can I get video over USB-C? Does G5 support DP Alt-Mode? Or some over video over USB-C mode?
My monitor (Dell U2722DE) has a USB-C docking mode that works great with my laptops, but for Trigkey G5 I have to add the HDMI cable as well... Not so great!
