I recently purchased a G5 16-500 and have some issues with the ethernet ports. I've been doing some SpeedTests on my internet speed. I currently have 1Gbps download. Both ports jump up in speeds at first and then drop rapidly. I'm lucky if they stay above 100 Mbps. I've tried various cables and hooked it directly up to my router instead of using my switch. Every time I get the same results.
These cables work fine on any other PC I test them on and I get up to 950 Mbps. The ports also seem a bit loose. If I slightly move the PC sometimes I lose connection. Perhaps it's a Windows 11 issue but I don't have it on other Win11 PC's. I tried updating the ethernet drivers but it says they're up to date. I'm downloading all the G5 drivers and I'm going to try reinstalling the ethernet ones to see if that helps.
I really don't want to return this PC as it seems to be working fine except for the ethernet ports. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
