I recently purchased the G4 but I've noticed that the fan is just running at a constant rate and it's pretty loud.
I checked bios and it appears to be running in smart mode as pre configured but the speed does not appear to be reacting to cpu load.
Even when doing nothing on the pc the fan is very loud.
Does anyone else have this issue? Do I have a potentially faulty unit and I should return it?
I'm also having this issue at the moment, really annoying, thinking about returning tbh. It's annoying Trigkey haven't provided a response to this.
Hi, this is a late reply perhaps, but go to BIOS>Advanced>Hardware Monitor>Smart Fan Function. Set the CPU smart fan mode to automatic mode and the settings below that that worked the best for me are: Fan off limit: 50, Fan start limit: 50, Fan full speed limit: 90, Fan start PWM: 10, PWM SLOPE SETTING: 2 PWM. So you will have these values in order:
[Automatic Mode]
50
50
90
10
[2 PWM]
It will keep the processor around 75-85 degrees when watching youtube 4k60fps.
