I've bought a S5 5800H, and I'm very happy with it.
I've purchased it through Amazon, the seller is BRAVOTECH SARL
The only problem I've found is that the microphone doesn't record anything by using the jack.
Sound output works with no problem.
I've checket that the record volume is at the maximum level, and reviewed carefully all sound configuration.
The only option I've been offered is to return the product.
I prefer to solve this problem, instead of return it.
I cannot talk with the seller.

I've tried with Pop OS based on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and Ubuntu 23.10.

I'd like to know if is a matter of misconfiguration or missing driver, or the product has a defect.
I think its a driver problem. Can you boot from a Linux Mint Lifesystem test it?

Ne serait-ce pas une question de correspondance des contacts de la prise femelle audio du PC ?
Est-ce une prise T-R1-R2-S (Tip Ring1 Ring2 Sleeve)?
Puisque le casque audio fonctionne, on peut supposer T = Gauche, R1 = Droite, R2 = Masse et S = micro ???
Si quelqu'un pouvait confirmer cela, je pourrai brancher mon micro en changeant sa fiche et en laissant libre T,R et câbler le micro sur R2 et S.
